In February 2023 a friend and I started pooling our money every month, teaching ourselves to invest and choosing our own assets. In 2026 I built the fund a proper website, as one of my first experiments with AI. The fund is private for now and isn't taking outside money.
I wanted to build something meaningful for both of us, and to see what I could make with AI. The site also had three practical jobs:
Own the name. Get the domain registered to me.
Keep our principles in one place. Build a home for what we believe about investing.
Prepare for later. Look ready in case we open up to outside investors in the long term.
Started from a real asset manager. I used an asset manager's site as the design reference, then made it ours with a dark blue brand colour and a video background on the homepage.
Wrote the principles down. My friend and I decided to be long-only: owning shares directly and not borrowing to invest. We happen to invest only in equities. The site sets this out in three principles: long-only, research-led and long-term, thinking "in years, not weeks".

Kept it behind a switch until it was ready. It showed an under-construction page from March to May 2026. Real wording replaced the placeholder text in October, and Google search setup went in at the same time.
The hard part was NAV. NAV (net asset value) is what the fund is worth at a given moment. Calculating it was the hardest part, because asset prices keep moving and either of us might want to take out our contributions. I worked it out in a spreadsheet.
Still unfinished. Pages like Client Login and Regulatory, and the articles, aren't built yet.
How I worked. I built the site with Claude Code in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and it's hosted on Vercel. The principles came from my friend and me.
